The power to decide life

This is a poem written about abortion. It stemmed from a class discussion on the same topic.

Life is not yours to take,
Life is not yours to give.
All that is yours,
Is the life that you live.
Then who gave us the power,
To decide someones destiny.
Who gave us the power,
To alter the face of history.
Wat we were given,
was just a heart and a soul.
And love and trust,
To make our lives whole.
Yet you can take decisions,
decisions more wrong than right.
Its you who decide wether,
another can see sunlight.
You can always take away a life,
which for now is hidden from view
But take a moment and consider,
What if this had happened to you?
